New 2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift Revealed - Worth the Wait?

Today, we're diving into the upcoming refresh of the Skoda Kushaq, a compact SUV that's been turning heads in the Indian market. With the competition heating up, Skoda is giving the Kushaq a facelift to keep it at the forefront. Let’s explore what’s in store.

The exterior of the Skoda Kushaq facelift is getting a significant makeover. The front will sport a new grille inspired by the larger Skoda Kodiaq, along with revamped air intakes and bumpers. The updated headlights, featuring stylish L-shaped LED DRLs, will add a modern touch. The familiar silhouette remains on the sides, but new camera-equipped ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) will be added to support a 360° camera system, along with fresh 17-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, connected L-shaped LED taillights and a sportier roof spoiler will enhance its dynamic look.

Inside, the changes are more refined but just as impactful. The Kushaq facelift is expected to feature a new digital instrument cluster, similar to the one found in the Skoda Superb, giving the cabin a more premium feel. The facelift will also introduce new seat upholstery, a refreshed cabin theme, a panoramic sunroof, a redesigned panel for the dual-zone climate control, and ambient lighting, all contributing to a more luxurious driving experience.

Under the hood, Skoda is likely to stick with its proven engine options: a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine. These will be paired with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission for the 1.0-liter engine, and a six-speed manual or 7-speed DSG transmission for the 1.5-liter engine.

The current Kushaq already comes packed with features, but the facelift will bring even more. Expect a 360° surround-view camera, front parking sensors, and possibly even Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to enhance safety and convenience on the road. The inclusion of a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and potentially heated seats will make long journeys more comfortable.

As for pricing, the current Kushaq starts at around ₹11.89 lakh and goes up to ₹20.4 lakh. With the facelift, prices are expected to increase by ₹20,000 to ₹50,000, so you’re looking at a starting price of approximately ₹12.10 lakh, with the top-end model reaching up to ₹21 lakh.

While Skoda hasn’t confirmed an exact launch date, rumors suggest the facelifted Kushaq will hit showrooms in the second half of 2025, following the launch of their new sub-4-meter SUV in March 2026. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting release!
